ENVIROMENTAL PYSCHOLOGY
#ENVYPHYSCO
Hi! So this is gonna be my first post for this module, which is one of the most challenging subject for this whole semester, Enviromental Physcology. we have total 3 assignments for this module; the first one is reading spaces. Here we need to find 2 totally different places for us the analyze and observe. I chose IKEA Damansara and Aquaria KLCC. Students need to confirm and get the approval first from Ms Annie before we can proceed further to the next step. after that we need to investigate some things from each places, like the activities inside, wayfindings, behaviours, perceptions, the circulation, the movement, the spaces itself, materiality, or signages. we need to put all the findings on slides for us to present on the dateline.
Why I said this is challenging, because to find interesting places itself is already pretty hard, or I just don't know good places in Malaysia yet. Second compiling all the things I found into one was hard also. It took hours to arrange and compile everything, let alone upgrading and improving it.

The second assignment is a forensic exploration. this time it's a group project, but our individual marks are still taken. this one we have to choose a place to observe (again) and investigate the spaces such as wayfindings, then make a mapping in the form of 4 A3 squares which later are going to be combined together with the other groupmates. My group is Janson and Alia. we chose a complet4ely different places but still connected. Janson chose the heart of KL, then continued to Alia who chose a place still in Kuala Lumpur but further abit from the heart of KL, and I chose a place in Indonesia. We made a scenario where a tired BIA student who lives in KL, a hectic city needs a gateaway and relax from the busy city and everyday life, and escaped to another country to get a holiday.

then on the presentation day we have to present all our 12 A3 squares one by one, one after another with other groupmates, and explain what it means to the judges. this one wasn't as challenging as the first assignment and I liked it, because I could make art and it's a break from the usual assignment.
Then the 3rd and last assignment, still using the site that was chosen for the previous (2nd) assignment, we have to make a spatial programming in a form of A2 board, and A3 board for signages and thumbnails. it took me quite long time to grasp what was this assignment was about, and it was quite challenging for me to come up with ideas how to put everything on to the paper.

this last assignment is connected and is supposed to support our final IDP board. it is to explain the events and activities that are happening inside our IDP container project. and to make the logos and signages is quite fun cuz i can use photoshop!
