Community Service Initiative - Week 6

In week 6, the stationery team started to do more follow ups for the sponsorship. We went to Tesco in Paradigm Mall as it was the nearest from campus as suggested by the previous call with Tesco staff. in the class we reported our progression up until this point to the lecturer and project managers, continued with discussion as to how we are going to proceed next.

So after class ended we went there and bringing along copies of the proposals and formal letter from Taylor's. We got to meet the manager but sadly they couldn't proceed with our proposal, as we needed to go to Tesco HQ which was located in Kepong. Because both me and my group mate were international students, we had difficulties on transportation and time if we actually went there, so we attempted to proceed the HQ by emails and phone calls instead.

After that, both of us decided to sit and called all the companies we requested sponsorships too, as well as other possible big names just to have a better chance; such as mr.diy, popular, print expert, Lapsoon printing, west star shah alam, fabsapce, etc. Sadly only few responded and none of them were actually interested to contribute to sponsor us.

On the other hand, soon Lapsoon printing got back to us saying that they were currently out of budget for the funding sponsorship, but they were willing to offer some discount for the printing related with the event.
